STATEMENT
This bill requires that the Director of the Division of Taxation in the Department of the Treasury shall establish and maintain a separate online donation form whereby a person may make an online credit card or debit card donation for any special fund established pursuant to chapter 9 of Title 54A of the New Jersey Statutes.
Currently, the New Jersey Children’s Trust Fund, which is a tax check off listed on New Jersey’s gross income tax return, allows for online donations. This bill thus allows any individual to make an online credit card or debit card donation for the other tax check off funds listed on New Jersey’s gross income tax return, including the New Jersey Endangered Wildlife Fund, the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Fund, the New Jersey Breast Cancer Research Fund, and the U.S.S. New Jersey Educational Museum Fund.
