SYNOPSIS

     Allows contributions to “New Jersey Farm to School Program.”

An Act concerning contributions to the 1[New Jersey “Farm to School” program,] “New Jersey Farm to School Program,”1 and supplementing Title 4 of the Revised Statutes.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The Secretary of Agriculture may solicit and accept contributions from private and public sources for the purpose of providing support to help fund the  1[New Jersey “Farm to School” program] “New Jersey Farm to School Program,” established pursuant to section 2 of P.L.2011, c.10 (C.4:10-25.2)1, which encourages schools to purchase produce from local farmers to incorporate in school meals throughout the growing season, and to increase the amount of local fresh produce available for consumption by students during the school day.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
