SYNOPSIS

     Requires DOE to post on its website list of all third party individuals or vendors employed or retained by DOE for work associated with State assessments.

An Act concerning State assessments and supplementing chapter 7C of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes. 

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    a. As used in this section, “State assessment” means an assessment required pursuant to State or federal law and administered to all students in a specific grade level or subject area and whose results are aggregated for analysis at the district, school, or student subgroup level.

     b.    The Department of Education shall post and regularly update on its website a list of all contractors, subcontractors, advisors, or consultants employed or retained by the department for any work associated with the administration, evaluation, monitoring of social media for security breaches, grading, or ongoing development of State assessments. 

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately. 

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill requires the Department of Education to post and regularly update on its website a list of all contractors, subcontractors, advisors, or consultants employed or retained by the department for any work associated with the administration, evaluation, monitoring of social media for security breaches, grading, or ongoing development of State assessments.
