     Directs DOT to add certain portion of Rising Sun Road in Bordentown Township to State highway system.

An Act adding a new route to the State highway system and supplementing Title 27 of the Revised Statutes.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The Commissioner of Transportation shall, in accordance with the procedures set forth in chapter 7 of Title 27 of the Revised Statutes, add to the present State highway system the following described route:  Rising Sun Road in Bordentown Township, Burlington County from the intersection of U.S. Route 130 extending generally in a southeasterly direction to the intersection of County Route 660, commonly known as Old York Road in Bordentown Township, Burlington County.

 

     2.    When this route is taken into the State highway system, as provided in section 1 of P.L.    , c.     (C.        ) (pending before the Legislature as this bill), the Commissioner of Transportation shall designate the route by an appropriate route number as provided by law.

 

     3.    This act shall take effect on the 180th day next following enactment, but the Commissioner of Transportation may take any anticipatory administrative action in advance of that date as shall be necessary for the implementation of this act.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill directs the Commissioner of Transportation (commissioner) to add to the present State highway system that portion of Rising Sun Road between the intersections of U.S. Route 130 and Old York Road in Bordentown Township, Burlington County.  The commissioner is also directed to assign the route an appropriate route number.
