SYNOPSIS

     Requires certain school district transportation supervisors to complete certain educational program at Rutgers University.

An Act concerning school district transportation supervisors and supplementing chapter 39 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes. 

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

      1.   Beginning in the 2021-2022 school year, a school district transportation supervisor who is newly hired or who has less than 11 years of experience as a school district transportation supervisor shall be required, as a condition of employment, to provide evidence to the board of education of satisfactory completion of the School Transportation Supervisors 1Certification1 Program offered by the Center for Government Services at Rutgers 1, the State1 University 1of New Jersey1.  The transportation supervisor shall bear the full cost of the program. 

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
