SYNOPSIS

     Appropriates $813,000 to DHS to implement use of electronic benefit transfer cards in Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.

2An Act appropriating funds to support the use of electronic benefits transfer cards in the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.2

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

      2[1.In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2021, c.133, the annual appropriations act for Fiscal Year 2021-2022, there is appropriated the following sum for the purpose specified:

Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program.......

The Department of Health shall utilize the funds hereinabove appropriated to implement the use of electronic benefit transfer cards by persons participating in the Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program.]2

 

     21.   There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Human Services the sum of $813,000.  The Department of Human Services shall use the funds received pursuant to this section to implement the use of electronic benefits transfer cards by persons participating in the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.2

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.
