SYNOPSIS

     Makes $10.5 million supplemental appropriation for increased Per Capita Library Aid.

A Supplement to the Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations act, P.L.2021, c.133.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    In In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2021, c.133, the annual appropriations act for Fiscal Year 2022, there is appropriated the following sum for the purpose specified:

37 Cultural and Intellectual Development Services

2541 Division of State Library

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill makes a supplemental appropriation of $10.5 million from the Property Tax Relief Fund to increase the State funding for Per Capita Library Aid in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022. 

     The purpose of the bill is to better enable libraries to serve the public with access to information and cultural enrichment.
