SYNOPSIS
Requires DOH to create website with information on reproductive rights.

An Act concerning reproductive rights and supplementing Title 26 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. The Department of Health shall create a new Internet website with comprehensive information on women’s reproductive rights under federal and State law and under health insurance plans, which shall include, but may not be limited to:
the right to emergency care;
the right to birth control;
the right to medication;
the right to access abortion services;
the right to access preventative health care services;
the right to health care for the uninsured, which shall include hyperlinks to websites that register the uninsured for health care benefits; and
information on where and how to file a complaint in the event that a woman’s reproductive rights are violated.
2. The Commissioner of Health shall adopt rules and regulations, pursuant to the “Administrative Procedure Act,” P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.), as necessary to implement the provisions of this act.
3. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill requires the Department of Health (department) to create a website with information on reproductive rights.
Under the bill, department is to create a new Internet website with comprehensive information on women’s reproductive rights under federal and State law and under health insurance plans, which is to include, but may not be limited to:
the right to emergency care;
the right to birth control;
the right to medication;
the right to access abortion services;
the right to access preventative health care services;
the right to health care for the uninsured, which shall include hyperlinks to websites that register the uninsured for health care benefits; and
information on where and how to file a complaint in the event that a woman’s reproductive rights are violated.
