Amends FY2027 appropriations act to reassign a portion of appropriation for Eid Committee of New Jersey to Cultural Society of Bergen County to support Mom’s Food Pantry.

An act amending the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, P.L.2026, c.27.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. The following appropriation made in section 1 of P.L.2026, c.27 is amended to read as follows:

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill amends the Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations act to reassign a portion of appropriation for Eid Committee of New Jersey to the Cultural Society of Berger County to support the Mom’s Food Pantry.
The Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations act currently allocates $350,000 to the Eid Committee of New Jersey for a community engagement initiative. This bill reassigns $300,000 from this appropriation to the Cultural Society of Bergen, which is a non-profit organization that supports families in need by providing essential groceries and basic household necessities. These funds are provided to support the organization’s Mom’s Food Pantry. This bill does not alter the total amount appropriated for FY2027.
