STATEMENT

This bill supplements the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 appropriations act by making an appropriation of $2 million from the General Fund to the New Jersey Association of Centers for Independent Living.  Currently, the FY2027 appropriations act appropriates $1 million to the New Jersey Association of Centers for Independent Living.  This bill would increase the total funds appropriated to the association in FY2027 to $3 million.

The New Jersey Association of Centers for Independent Living is a non-profit organization that is composed of executive representatives from the 12 Centers for Independent Living that are located in this State.  The goal of the association is to foster collaboration, exchange best practices, and strengthen the expansion of programs and services utilized by State residents with disabilities.
