STATEMENT

This bill authorizes the temporary waiver of winery license fees payable to the Division of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) in the Department of Law and Public Safety.

Specifically, for the first two full State fiscal years after the bill is enacted, all fees charged by the ABC to holders of, or applicants for, plenary winery, farm winery, and out-of-State winery licenses are to be waived.  Under the bill, the fee waiver applies to license fees, application and filing fees, renewal fees, transfer fees, salesroom fees, additional privilege fees, and any other fees payable to the ABC related to these winery licenses.

The provisions of the bill do not waive any State or federal tax obligation or any fees charged by a municipality.
