SYNOPSIS
Provides supplemental FY2027 appropriation of $550,000 for income tax preparation assistance administered by United Way of Northern New Jersey.

A Supplement to the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, P.L.2026, c.27.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2026, c.27, the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, there is appropriated from the General Fund the following amount for the purpose specified:
22 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS
50 Economic Planning, Development, and Security
55 Social Services Programs
GRANTS-IN-AID

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill supplements the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Appropriations Act by providing $550,000 to United Way of Northern New Jersey for volunteer income tax preparation assistance. An appropriation of $750,000 for this purpose was included in the FY2026 Appropriations Act, P.L.2025, c.74, but was not continued in FY2027.
