      The Senate Education Committee favorably reports Senate Bill No. 2922 with committee amendments.

      As amended, this bill requires the Department of Education to link on its website to the Department of the Treasury’s website where a list is maintained of all contractors, subcontractors, advisors, or consultants employed or retained by the Department of the Treasury for any work associated with the administration, evaluation, monitoring of social media for security breaches, grading, or ongoing development of State assessments.

      The committee amended the bill to eliminate the requirement that the Department of Education post on its website a list of such contractors, advisors, or consultants and require instead that the department on its website link to the Department of the Treasury’s website for the information.
