STATEMENT TO

SENATE, No. 1229

with Senate Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Senator SWEENEY)

ADOPTED: FEBRUARY 26, 2018

      These Senate Floor Amendments provide that:

      1) the annual salaries for justices and judges, and county prosecutors, would be adjusted automatically on January 1 of each year for four years after calendar year 2021;

      2) the amount of the annual adjustment would in no event be greater than 2 percent; and

      3) no further adjustments would be made after January 1, 2025.
