with Assembly Floor Amendments

ADOPTED: JUNE 3, 2021

      These floor amendments provide that the priority consideration to permit applications for green building projects would be to the extent practicable as determined by the governing body of the municipality or the Commissioners of Department of Community Affairs (DCA), the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and the Department of Transportation (DOT), as applicable. 

      The floor amendments also provide that a project may, rather than shall, qualify as a “green building project” if the project has documented incorporation of site, water, energy, and resource efficiency measures and demonstrable practices to promote the health and well-being of the building occupants.
