ASSEMBLY, No. 3450

with Assembly Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Assemblyman JOHNSON)

ADOPTED: NOVEMBER 16, 2020

      These floor amendments:

      (1)  remove the provisions of the bill concerning direct-to-consumer services;

      (2)  exempt direct-to-consumer providers from the remaining provisions;

      (3)  remove from the definition of “earned but unpaid income” the inclusion of earned income, wages, government benefits, or other cash distributions that have not yet been paid to the consumer; and

      (4)  require that the amount of earned income delivered by a provider to a consumer is to be reduced or withheld from the consumer’s next payment.
