ASSEMBLY, No. 4405
with committee amendments
STATE OF NEW JERSEY
DATED: JULY 27, 2020
The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 4405 with committee amendments.
This bill requires the State to sell and convey title to the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (ESCNJ), for the sum of one dollar, 5.43± acres of land and improvements located at 1670 Stelton Road, in the Township of Piscataway, County of Middlesex, known as the Piscataway Regional day School.
The sale will be under such terms and conditions as are approved by the State House Commission.
COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS
There amendments modify language to reflect the standard language for the sale and conveyance of State property because the transfer has been approved by the State House Commission.
The initial version of the bill provided that the Attorney General would be responsible for the sale with certain time frames to be met in the process, that the approval of the State House Commission would not be needed, and that the property would be sold in an “as is” condition unless otherwise provided by agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This bill is not certified as requiring a fiscal note.
