STATE OF NEW JERSEY

      The Senate Labor Committee reports favorably Senate Bill, No. 2488.

      This bill allocates to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development from the federal aid to the State for the COVID19 pandemic $50 million to be spent to improve the benefit claims processing capacity of the unemployment insurance program.  The bill requires the department to submit to the Legislature an implementation plan to effectuate the bill’s provisions.
