ASSEMBLY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE

STATEMENT TO

SENATE, No. 2728

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

      The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 2728.

     This bill adds two members to the State Board of Examiners of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) Contractors. Of the two new members, one is to be appointed by the Governor based on the recommendation of the Senate President and one is to be appointed by the Governor based on the recommendation of the Speaker of the General Assembly. The bill also updates current law by removing language referencing the terms of the first members to serve on the Board.

      As reported by the committee, Senate Bill No. 2728 is identical to Assembly Bill No. 4835, which also was reported by the committee on this date.
