SENATE, No. 4236

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

      The Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 4236.

      This bill renames the Office of the Food Insecurity Advocate and the position of the food insecurity advocate as the Office of the Food Security and food security advocate, respectively.  The bill also provides that the office will be allocated to the Department of Agriculture, instead of the Economic Development Authority in the Department of the Treasury.

      As reported by the committee, Senate Bill No. 4236 is identical to Assembly Bill No. 6159, which was also reported by the committee on this date.
