SENATE, No. 4308

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

      The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 4308.

      This bill establishes the Helmets to Hardhats program in the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and administered by the New Jersey Building and Construction Trades Council.  The purpose of the program is to provide outreach and assistance to veterans in obtaining preparation and guidance to gain admission into training and education programs needed to obtain high quality careers in the construction industry, including registered apprenticeship programs which lead to high quality careers in the building trades, as well as careers in administration, engineering and management in the construction industry.
